Yes I bought Brett's car and what a stonker. Brett is a legend and a lovely fella. I have updated the car since and will carry on doing so. Will most prob do the MRC down pipes after Doug sorts it out supposibly in 3 weeks time.

What are the benefits of the downpipes? More HP and noise? Bretto is a legend, I agree 100%.

IMO. Larger down pipes will enable the car to breath better ie less restrictive back pressure and the turbos can build up speed faster. The problem with the stock down pipes is that they each have a 400 cell cat which is great for the emission but bad news for performance and less noise. I personally wouldn't be catless just for MOT sake and will use 100 cells/ 200 cells cats. I've ran other turbo cars before and by changing to a larger bore down pipe, performance improved greatly in total BHP, torque, less turbo lag and ultimately ( MORE NOISE ).... right up your street lol :)

Let me know when you're at MRC and I may come up and meet you. Audi want £483.12 to do the plugs, that's labour only... If they supplied the plugs it's £631.80

Why get a main dealer to change the plugs?

Good way to get to know the car a bit better is to do it yourself. Unless your hands are too precious to dirty now? ;)
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)

Emm, to change the spark plugs on a C6 RS6 is not the simpliest of task but then again, I'm no mechanic.

Absolutely no need for the stealers to do it and get your arms ripped off.

Thought it was a warranty requirement. If not I'll book it into MRC straight away. I want them to wash and re oil the filters anyway.

The warranty terms and conditions do state the following.

Keep the car serviced and repaired at an audi approved centre or audi authorised repairer according to the manufacturers service schedule and intervals within 30 days or 1000 miles of its due date.

You must keep all servicing receipts and invoices.

Failure to keep your car serviced in accordance with the manufacturers service schedule will void the warranty.

Its only servicing of NON-audi vehicles that the terms and conditions allow servicing by a reputable VAT registered garage.

I would ask the question first if i was you Amar.

You can get all your work done at Audi dealers for the same if not less than the specialists.
Shop around ;)

They can write what they want in their conditions but they are not legally allowed to force you to use their dealer network for servicing in order to honour a warranty.

As long as an indie uses approved parts and procedures, a manufacturer cannot refuse warranty claims.

That said, building a relationship and goodwill with a dealer can pay dividends (always better to avoid going legal where possible), and as noted above main dealers can often be haggled on cost if my recent experience of other marques is anything to go by :)
