Aftermarket Brake Pads
Aftermarket pads
I think Jim went with Pagid RS29 Yellow at £500+ - not cheap by any means. Here are a few options for you..........They're all pretty helpful and in various stages of reporting back to me on their recommendations for the RS4.
For Ferodo DS2500:
Camskill ( Jim ) 01946 518201
Performance Parts Direct 0845 3451487
Circuit Supplies ( Tim ) 01525 385888
For Pagid RS14, RS15, RS29
Performance Braking 01600 713117
K300 0161 3551275
Although I've only done 5k miles I'm gonna renew my pads prior to the European trip.

RE: Aftermarket pads
Thanks for the info there, I came close last year to ordering the RS15's but was put off as there was no sensor.
Might just go for the EBC's

Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
I agree. Do the Pagid RS29's have sensors? I am quite keen to learn how much better they are than the standard pad.P_G wrote:No doubt it is easy to view pad wear but it defeats the purpose of having a system that is already installed on the car and not using it or trying to trick it. Each to their own on this occassion.
I wasn`t saying that if you have to choose between the same pad but with sensor or w/o sensor you should choose the one without the sensor.
I was merely saying that it broadens the option range.
Plus I think there is quite a substantial difference in cost for a simple wire and a connector (sensor) .

I think it's actually the pads without sensors which cost quite a bit more. I think it depends what you need out of your braking system, regular road use with some "spirited" driving then OEM or something like the EBC would suit. Depending on where and at what cost you can source OEM..... I may be wrong but I think the Pagids are substansially more and you would really need to be tracking the car etc to justify the cost, unless you've got plenty of cash and just fancy them of course!
I'm also happier having the same pads all round, no particular scientific reason, I just am......
