Lets get one thing completely straight here, for the record, when the B5 RS4 first came out, it recieved poor press reviews and more importantly was slated by a substantial percentage (comparative to other vehicle models) of owners who where disatisfied with the results for various reasons.
Yes, Audi did clear up a number of damaging issues, and yes when modified the car becomes a joy to own, but lets not get too doe eyed about owners initial feelings regarding the 'classic' you are driving around in.
And as for wanting to know whether it will have this or that spec, all in good time! Everything comes to he who waits, and yes it would be nice to know exactly what it will look like and how fast it will go etc etc, and thats the great thing about this forum and it's predecessor, here like-minded petrol-heads from all over the world can discuss whether it'll have turbos or whatever, but to start getting depressed because Audi are producing something that might will give you an option to make a choice, FOR YOUR BENEFIT is downright bonkers!

As KC says we got a drive (of sorts) and we got full specs and brochures months before our cars were built, plenty of time to spend mulling over whether you want x or y on the car or whether you wanted it at all.

If you want to get depressed, then why not get depressed about something slightly more important such as the price of petrol or the state of our roads, or third world debt or something?!!!

I don't get what your problem is:
If the next RS4 is better than the current one I'll buy it, if it isn't then I won't! I am happy with the curren't one, it will go for another 7 years or so, so if the next one is a dud, I'l just wait for the one after! Simple, really
