i'll give you leg end!!
Your right, it was never gonna get that, but i did think it would make 17, I was disapointed it didnt, then i had that <beep> hit me in the car park which knocked 600 off and then a few cosmetics about a grand in total, so I was looking for 16, but nary a sniff. For a car that was mechanically perfect only missing waggies on the upgrade front, soooo, there you go. may have got it if i hung on but needed the cash for my new business, so had to take what i could get. bang 14 grand.
car £36k 3 years ago 30k miles
1500 full milltek
2500 brake upgrade
1500 coilys
1000 on maps
2000 on other bits
12000 2 new heads
4000 2 new turbines
8000 new gearbox
200+mph car
0-60 sub 4 secs
and it made feck all difference to the price

The biggest problem for the private seller is the lack of warranty in my humbley. That's the reason the dealers are still selling thm for £18k (although I can't imagine they hold many C5 RS6s in stock .. as they could never repair mine properly, I doubt they could repair their own!) because punters are willing to pay for the piece of mind for 12 months, and the possibility of carrying it on for x years thereafter.
