Thanks for that - yes I'm from a little place not far from Ashford in Kent and got the car from Audi in Maidstone.
Phantom Black 06 (current), Evo 8 sold, Evo 6 sold, Escort Cosworth sold, Sierra Cosworth (nearly killed me several times) sold, RS Turbo sold
NO I'M NOT FROM ESSEX

Just had the 2 front shocks and valve changed on mine and the invoice (which was going to the extended warrenty centre) was for £2k inc VAT

Was that an Inchcape warranty?

That would have probably been the Audi extended warranty on the DRC system (5 years).
What is the Inchape warranty? Obviously its a lot cheaper than Audi warranty - has it got similiar cover?

OK another 1 for the "RS Kent Contingent" we should have mini Kent meet some time in the new year. Im only up in Bromley.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

its the extra 1 year warranty from Audi. I thought the DRC claim would have gone through the '5-year extra cover' that Audi are throwing around at the moment but the guys at the dealers said the '1-year' warranty would pay for it. They also said that if the work was 'retail' it would have been a lot more than £2k as well.....gulp!

F in Hell !!!. More than 2K !!
I know my car isnt an RS4 but it was in last year for about 4 things and that came to £2.8K !!!. Couldnt believe it !
A warranty with a car like an RS4 is a must in my eyes.

any RS car needs a warranty, IMO
thats driven by by Audi's ridiculous labour rates and the complexities involved in the cars

but with MRC et al around, it makes it slightly easier to go without a warranty, but still requires large pockets
