With another 80BHP I think he has problems, BIG problems!!!

I didn't know that the B7 RS4 had 510BHP? (my B5 S4 is running around the 430BHP mark).

Definately something wrong with that consumption, mine has only used a litre in 4000 miles.

Mine was inspected and nothing found to be wrong, still smokes on cold start but never at any other time, and consumption is never more than 1lt per 3500 miles. I think Audi state that 1lt per 1000 miles is acceptable.

RTFM (read the FFFFing Manual)

I never paid much attention till the dealer pointed out the manual quotes up to half a litre of oil usage per 1000km. Couldnt believe it when I read it so after that Im not half suprised to see some white smoke. Am getting an Oil Check done this week so interesting to see how much it uses. Check your manual under Checking the Oil Level on P262 and they certainly can burn it.

Yes, there does seem a big difference but I must admit I dont check it often, only before a track day really which isnt often either. My suggestion to everyone is to keep a closer eye on it, Will confirm though with Audi doing the Oil check and see how much it really is using every 1000km. IF its within spec then not much more to say.

I wonder how much the Le Mans car goes through in 24 hours???

Ok I know I've only got an S4 and it has a different engine but I have never put oil in the car and I've covered 15k At the moment it's about 1mm down fron half way on the stick but will be going in to be serviced soon. The bottle of oil in the boot has never been opened. Should I be worried because it's NOT using oil?

A mate checked his VW R32 manual and it quotes the same usage.
