When is it? sadly I have been known to turn up on the wrong day before.

I would certainly pop along, it would be a good day out for the boy as well. However, the last time I went (on the right day) it was very hard to know who was who and many of the RS cars were in the car park. I blagged my way into the main area, but it was still difficult to know what was going on and meet like minded chaps.

I think the idea of having a meet inside the event where we can all chat and look at each others cars is a brilliant idea. In the past it has always received a frosty reception, but I really think it bonds members and makes the forum a better place to be. Surprisingly enough all these type of meets created through the forum would actually help encourage more people to the official meets, like last years Christmas attempt. And for those of us who arrived too late for 'the good old days' it creates new happy days for us to remember in the future.

Can we designate someone to ring the organisers and sort an area of grass for us? I am sure the Audi organisers would be very excited to have a display of RS and S cars. Possibly the part of the largest group/forum of owners in the UK. Some of our cars are very special indeed, I, of course will bring along my tatty bus.

DISCLAIMER: None of the above is meant to offend or upset anyone in any way, please accept my apologies if I have inadvertently offended the innocent

I know, I know - but what's the point of life if you can't have 5 mins of fun (at Toms expense!)

I've put the date right, so I don't get in Simons bad books again

Good work David.

And good work getting nominated for club of the year when you're not a club.

Well I never meant to stir up a hornets nest when raising the idea of having a meet but it certainly seems like people are interested.

DavidT - Many thanks for looking into it, much appreciated. Look forward to hearing how you get on.

It wasn't meant as a dig, I genuinely do appreciate's David's good work at getting us some grass (not that kind).

The irony of the club thing just made me lol.

LOL, I know it wasn't a dig, impressive for a forum to make the finals, Autometrix don't seem to mind though.

New thread for the 'Club Display Area' is here: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... 622#134622

I will post more details about the track activities & the awards dinner once they are confirmed.

I will be leaving for Belgium on that morning , so im unable to attend. If we win please can some other crew member not going to Spa collect on RS246 behalf, David T seems the most approriate candidate for the job, unless PhilT can make it?
I will make sure that some apparrel and banner will be there, its really up to DavidT to get a Tent or Stall sorted.
Good luck with it and lets hope Autometrix start to see the worth of RS246 in the Audi community (remember it always hasnt been that way!)
Cheers
