Been the same myself as I'm sure most of us have....however, my faith gets restored when the very occasional opportunity arises when you meet another "player" out on a quiet, open road & their PCP funded £££'s hot hatch gets owned by an 18 yo barge
. No way a Golf R would keep up on anything other than a track. I did have a little dabble with an M140i couple of weeks back and he did jussst manage to pull away...stopped at the services for a laugh and chat, turned out his BM was quite highly modded so I don't reckon that a standard example would have had the legs to come past my fat biatch.
