6500 as it stands....

Have no need for this and never worked on a V8... so why am I interested
Man maths. Most of the work has been done on this car, transplant engine and box into your own C5 then sell in the original engine and box. Then strip and sell the above car, can't see you losing much money and you have a near as damn it 800bhp car.

Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Dammit.... stop making so much sense man... currently trying to find a stern wife to talk me out of this

It's the transplant that worries me, have a tendency to get half way through it then be left with 2 cars that don't work... and as much as all the hard work is done, it'll still be lots of work in a single garage... hmm

(No chin stroking emoji, would be here if there was one)

The transplant shouldn't be too hard, if you speak to MRC they'd be able to tell you what needs swapping over from each car. The price this will be sold at will probably mental, even for a damaged car. Bum_bum sells cars waaaaaay too cheap, he sold another legend for peanuts.

Why transplant? The damage is minor. If you were to do those mods on another RS6 you spend upwards of 40k.
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair."

Why transplant?
If you already have a straight car in the colour you like its better, no?

I hate to say it but I think I’d make money on if I did it with all the new parts I have on my one.

Don't listen to your mum, you can fly a Boeing 747 through the Grand Canyon and it'll still look small.

Bam - Is that just cosmetics than to sort out ?? Or did the suspension got it as well ??

That is sooooo tempting
Off-side suspension would need looking at. I'd say about 5k would make it good again but then it'll be CAT N. I thought folks on here would be more interested in just reshelling the powertrain.

Go on then I’ll ask the million dollar question everyone wants to know-what do you want for the powertrain??

I wondered how long it'd be before you would start thinking about making the swap. Isn't your engine already out the car?

No, you need your ears checked, she said "when he puts it in, it feels like I'm giving birth".

So I reckon $15k nz would have that landed here in Kwiland......

Do you do free next day delivery?

My only problem would be finding someone down here to do the swap who doesn't say 'Allroads didnt come with turbo V8's......'

More importantly whats the next project (after the house)?
