back in an rs6
Re: back in an rs6
I'm amazed that they even insure you on a C7, let alone a modified one. Good luck with that one.

Re Admiral.
I have a multicar policy with them.
Just the ever patient wife and I on it.
CooperS
A Couple of Morgan Aeros
RS6PE
£1200 per annum which include Protected NCB.
£500 excess across the lot.
Mitigating factors.
53 years old
No accidents (until some tw*t backed into the Mog in a car park a short time ago) and 18 years NCB
6 points total on Speeding, nothing outrageous just motorway speed creep and a mobile camera van on the A34
The recent bash on the Mog resulted in a bill for £7800 pounds and they could not have been more helpful.
At first they tried to use their own repair Shop but when the make and model was discussed they quickly agreed to let the Factory do it with fair quote and inspection by one of their people.
Due to my travel schedule and the distance to get the car to factory they allowed some time to get it over there and done.
They added 1(out of 2 acceptable) knock on my protected NCB and made it clear how it worked.
I have to say I was actually relieved and happy about how they handled everything.
Only downside I have come across is that they ask for Speeding tickets and ALSO driver speed awareness courses. I spoke to a local plod I know and trust and he said this is a problem with Admiral. The courses clearly state "instead of prosecution" and so if you elect to take them they mean that you were never formally charged and the incident is removed. Mr Plod agreed this was the case and that the Police worked with the insurance industry to create this situation in order to try and make a positive move to education and avoid penalties.
He said that Admiral are the only company he is aware of that asks about these (in the agreement they were not supposed to ask). This leaves a bit of a grey area.
In the terms it states "failure to declare when asked a question voids your insurance". They always ask so if you lie you void it. Then if you do admit they add it to the speeding list. I find this a bit rough, Mr Plod agreed.
So be careful if you are working with them on declaring things clearly. £5500 seems expensive for insurance but its even worse when they then proceed to wriggle out of it and don't pay up as a result. Especially for MOD's . Any accident now will likely get a Police visit and Breathalyser/Drug test. Even if you mount the curb and whack a lampost whilst sneezing as a friend of mines wife will attest to sadly. They will inspect the car. When it goes in for work they will also look for problems on high value and powerful cars.

WHAT A CAR!!!!!!!!
its everything the c6 wasn't. I really don't mind the air suspension in dynamic mode. We'll see how it fairs around the ring. Dropped the bumper over the weekend fitted a black Quattro grill ties the front end in so much better and fitted black rs6 badges to the rear. Going the cut the resonators out the exhaust this next week, having had a cat less c63 im quite enjoying the subtle exhaust note. Pics to follow.
