I have the resonated centre section and it's loud when giving it the beans but in comfort with the valve closed, stock like, quiet with no noticeable drone. My opinion of the Milltek changed when I had mine fitted, the non res vids on YT seem too loud and tinny to me. I'll be off over the next couple of weeks so if you find yourself down this way for whatever reason, give me a shout

C7 rs6 is only 100kg heavier than a b8 rs4 - or a passenger in other words.

How many rs6's are doing 8:30 ring laps that we know of?

RossDagley wrote:Having driven an rs7 on air I feel qualified to describe it as I did. Poor handling. It was worse than the c6 on DRC. The c7 on DRC would need to be LEAGUES better than air to even be considered to be well handling! I sold an RS6 for an RS4 for this exact reason. First trip to the ring in the c6 and it was game over.

I think as a package a GTR is hard to beat. I've never taken one on track but have driven one for 30 minutes or so and it was a great car. It's such a shame the interior is so horrible. You can really feel the Datsun heritage - and that's not a good thing!
The C7 IS in a a different league to the C6 - particularly on DRC. And I think it is better on the road than a 4, albeit bigger and heavier. But each to their own. And for perspective I have come from a 996 GT3, and race a 968 CS - so I like cars that handle.
It is no Nurburgring weapon though ;)

Yes it does feel slow :( It was tough going back to a slower (straight line) car when I went from the c6 to the b8. But I can hustle the rs4 round the ring over a minute faster than the c6 - despite a 300hp deficit. So - slower? From point a to point b? It depends where you're defining a and b as lol. In a straight line the rs6 will always win. But show it some corners and it'll be left seriously wanting.

If the rs4 had another 150hp it'd be awesome. Roll on the b9 and a remap!

8mins 2sec or whatever that rs6 video was is seriously impressive for a car completely NOT designed for that!

I am really looking forward to the new RS4 ( I was going to wait until its release but just too far down the line so bought the RS6). If they chuck turbos in there that will be the car to have.

Yes! Hussling that RS7 hard indeed! Clearly knows the car very well, commits to the throttle hard mid corner to get the power to the rear and power out the corners

I'm sure I've seen that driver before in another video

This exactly! I was looking for a car for 2016 and really can't settle on the rs6/7 or r8 to meet all my needs. I think (hope!) the new rs4 being v6 (presumably) will be 450-470 hp - but critically turbo'd. So a remap, filters and exhaust should see 600hp easily enough - again, all speculation but then I think I'll be happy lol.

And I doubt he would be quicker in a RS4..
Interesting to compare.
