when the chassis is this good, it could be running on baked beans for all I care !! :jump:

BUT, I do take your point ... doing this trip in a V10 R8 or F-TYPE V8 with the roof down would have been unreal

BUT, I drove the car like it was its last day on earth and it still returned 40MPG somehow !! more euro's in my pocket !

Ok, so I have dug out the details on the trip that occurred in June, the itinerary was as follows:

Eurotunnel crossing is the 2020Hrs.

1st Leg (10th June 2015) - Calais to Metz (286 miles)
Route: http://bit.ly/1H0zhWl

Contact Details: CAMPANILE METZ EST - Technopole2 BOULEVARD DE LA SOLIDARITE 57070 METZ Tel:+33 3 87 75 13 11

2nd Leg (11th June 2015) - Metz to Oberwald (362miles, 8Hr Drive)
Route: http://bit.ly/1G2qB5M

Contact Details:Sporthotel Oberwald Garni, Dorfstrasse 5,Oberwald, 3999, Switzerland Phone: +41279742525

3rd Leg (12th June 2015) Oberwald to Lugano (incorporating the Andermatt Loop)
http://bit.ly/1E3viGs

The Andermatt loop incorporates 6 legs, our hotel is on the Furka Pass so already there. The total route is 190miles and can take 6+hrs. Have a read here to wet the appetite.

Then its a quick dash to Lugano (72miles)

Hotel Details: Villa Principe Leopoldo, Via Montalbano 5, Lugano, 6900, Switzerland Phone: +41919858823

4th Leg (13th June 2015) - Lugano to Nurbergring (442miles)
Route: http://bit.ly/1EwRpXr

This is going to a hard old slog but if we are going to get the opportunity to do a couple of laps of the 'ring then it has to be done. Hotel is opposite the circuit entrance and close to a casino in case anyone hasn't spent enough money on fuel.

Hotel Details: Lindner Hotel Eifeldorf Grüne Hölle Nürburgring ·
Eifel-Ardennen-Strasse / An der B 258 · 53520 Nürburg
Fon +49 26 91302-5000

Leg 5 - Nurbergring to home...

The END
