Storage pack is lightweight (the items were standard on my old C7 A6!), the conv pack is less so. Having got both packs I couldn't be without the memory seats (me and my misuss both drive it often so having the button to press for our own seat settings is a godsend!) and the auto dimming/folding mirrors of the conv pack, and the nets in the storage.
hvm5 wrote:One other thing I since learnt, B8 RS4's do not come standard with heated front seats so this car doesn't have them. That's one thing I'm not sure I could live without
To be honest, the standard heater is REALLY good at circulation so the car warms up really quickly and a nice equal distribution of hot air. So I wouldn't personally spec Heated seats again given the chance. Plus because the car you've been offered doesn't seem to have the full leather option(?), you'll have alcantara which is warm all year round.

So I just happened to have a meeting in Mayfair this afternoon, and I just happened to have 10 minutes spare after, which was nice.

So I popped in & had a look. I think this car looks better in the flesh. From the above pic I didn't like the alloys, but in the flesh they do look good. Agreed though, it does need something doing to the wing mirrors.

Boff, did you have a filter on your phone when you took it? I should have taken a pic or two myself, but I didn't. If someone is interested, they should hurry up - there was a chap having finance checks done with one of the 'sales people' whilst I was there.

Just sayin.

One thing I noticed this morning as I walked by is the rear calipers of that car have RS logos on them. Mine only has them on the front, so I'm assuming the rear decals are a feature of the 'red painted calipers' option?

It's easy to revert to normal, not that it's important!

Am i missing something with this car? Most expensive RS4 on the dealer network by some £4k and it's not SE/Nogaro or exclusive.

That's an old listing trick by the dealer. The car's not available yet, but they want people to know it's going to be available. So to stop calls that will interfere with them selling cars they can actually sell, they list it at a stupid price. The closer it gets to being available the price will drop hugely.
