When I got the RS, as it was a long term purchase, I decided that going to Audi to get a stamp in the book was not 'good value' IMO, especially when you hear some horror stories, wasn't for me !

If I did have to sell it, my argument is a stamped book just tells you it has had and oil and filter change basically, doesn't tell you for example something major e.g. a motor replacement.

To do an oil change and spark plugs is just as easy if not easier than the average car !

Those alloy arms are very nice! shame Audi didn't do it first time around. It is the type of thing I'd buy and keep in incase they did break.... group buy anyone :bigblink:
Now that's an idea. I'm in...

2000 evo VI tommi makinen red
1999 Evo V 370bhp white

+1 here on doing my own work. I have just gone down the path to get mine ready for stage 2. Just fitted cold air feed, done a decoke, polish+port inlet manifold with flaps removed, an refurbed all the brake calipers with new discs and brake lines (pics up soon). Thing is when doing it your self you can do little things what the garage wont do while your there e.g rust preservative. There not to bad to work on.
Current-saloon rs4,Full decat Xpipe miltek,cold air feed,BMC air filter, TTS supercharged, MRC stage 3 L/C F/S,hell s+s brake lines,AP racing rotors + vagbremtechnic bells, kw v3s clifford 650mk2

Gone-audi s3 8p stage2+ with loba lo400 turbo.

By taking the flaps out, does this cause any problems on idle or lower rpm etc? Is there a compromise? I would be tempted to leave them out if the car performs better. I will be in for a stage 2 map myself.
