They only did the Turbo s in Gen 2, if go for that, the Tiptron Box in the Gen 1 is <beep>, youll be waiting 10 mins for the gear the change with that big jerk when it does.
I would want a manual, doesn't even need to be gen2 I wouldn't mind
Updating the looks, and doing the wheels+ maybe DMS or MRC for some extra ponies

I very nearly bought one, wasn't too keen on the gearbox, jumps around around too much.
Maybe I should have just kept on the list for a macan turbo, never mind what's done is done, keeping merc for 2 years so will upgrade to something plusher then

Just my two pence, I've had a few 911's my last being a 991S and they are brilliant but the latest car is just too quick for the road to be 'fun'. To get any real enjoyment you've got to be going silly speeds, the 997 G2 Turbo S is a great car but I really question it's relevance on UK roads.

Saw a Macan yesterday...looked really small. 911 Turbo S gets a vote from me. However, if it was a non-family car I'd go for a Cayman GTS. About as pure as you can get according to the mags. You'll also need to find someone with the same taste in colours though as it is a marmite colour.

It's got to be a 4 seater, too much money to just sit on the drive, I've had a pm on my car already, I really don't think the colours a problem, I've never owned a car where so many people go out their way to make positive comments, so much so, I nearly get one every time I take it out, just got back from the shops, I have to say with the new pilot supersport's on it's transformed the grip, still like the car,it's just not exciting me apart from the looks.

Have gone down the Sq5 route for the wife / general family duties. Fantastic engine, a real hoot and the fake exhaust is ridiculously amusing. However, a real drivers car it ain't.

Gone 2016 991.1 GTS PTS Voodoo Blue - best car to date, 2015 911.1 GTS, Carmine, PDK, interior pack, stunning, 2016 Carmine Cayman GTS, PDK + toys, 2015 RS5 Cab, 2012 Discovery 4 family wagon, 2014 Golf R, 2015 Cayman GTS, 2014 RS4, Sepang with most of the toys, SQ5, S4, S5, A5, A6.

Thinking of selling up

Rent a car for a couple of weeks and don't drive the 4. Then get back in the 4 and it'll excite you. I've done that in the past to see if I really am bored with a car......usually works and I am not.

PS- a great colour to see....to own is a different matter.

No use if you've got kids though, that's where 911 scores.
