This man talks much sense.

The old cokey V8 in the RS4 has had its day....4.0 TT V8 is where it's at now!!

Audi had the chance to move the game on form the B7 but missed it IMO...B8 of course is step up from a B7...but they missed the boat.

The new 6 is truly awesome albeit a tad big....I could live with that all day long!!

The problem I have also with a 6, is that with the spec I want, and even with a good chunky discount, you're still looking at knocking on £100k to make it spec comparable with an RS4 and that would take a massive chunk out of my weekend car fund...
Carbon mirrors = £1500 and Carbon pack to get black styling is £4k.. blimey. Maybe if business picks up, then in two years time come next change

Yep, price is quite hard to swallow...I've sort of got over that and gone balls deep, no point going for a half measure.

Spec is currently...

Mugello blue
Dynamic pack plus
21 titanium wheels
Alu pack
Sports exhaust
Advanced key with hands-free boot opening
Audi parking system with top view
Adaptive cruise, stop/go, side and active lane assist and pre-sense pack
Power door closure
Manual sun blinds
Privacy and insulated glass
Heated seats
Mobile phone prep high with Audi connect
Homelink
Load fixing/boot mat/through load

Might add some other bits and bobs. Lead time is six months as it is, adding more stuff likely to make it worse.

Ha ha, I've been suitably vague when discussing price with the wife.

Don't get me started on bikes. I bought a new Specialized 29'er recently and I had to go with a spec that came in black as my last one was carbon black, so she wouldn't notice the difference in the garage (picked up at shop and rode an xc day straight away, so it came home dirty too :)
I've not told her about the new YT Capra enduro bike I've ordered and I'm still trying to work out a story for when it turns up in June. Might use the 'borrowing it from a mate' story as she knows I don't get stuff free any more so the 'sponsorship bike' story no longer washes

Got busted recently on a watch when on a trip to London there was an IWC stand in the entrance at harrods with a recent purchase on display in middle with a price tag on it. That nearly got me a black eye and cost me a pair of louboutin shoes to keep the peace and not end in a frosty weekend :)

I've always maintained... "I live in fear of my wife copping-a-strop over the car obsession and selling my carbon road bikes for what I told her they cost".

I've heard of a few probs with the early carbon 29'ers. I've now got a camber evo, which is a 2014 model, but I really only use it for xc duties as I have a downhill bike (and soon a new 170mm enduro bike) for other stuff, so it doesn't really get used for anything more challenging than a bit of blue or red run xc and then lots of medium paced grinding out the miles rides.

Whyte bikes have always been nice
