Re: For sale: 2006 RS4 saloon sprint blue NOW SOLD
Take a look online for prices. There are 4 variants for cat-back; you can have resonated (quieter) or non-resonated (louder), and each of those comes with the option of valved or non-valved. The cheapest is non-resonated non-valved at about £900ish I think. You'll pay a little more for the resonated version then prices jump quite a bit for the valved version, think they are about £1700 to £2k, but check online or search for milltek rs4 4.2 on ebay.RS4ALEX wrote:its great, working away again so wont see itfor 12 daysbut home for the bh weekend so il get a good 4 days with it! does anyone know how much milltek's are for these just cat- back?
Then with each of those options there are silver oval, black oval, or quad silver tailpipes.

ideally id like to keep the valved option, any idea how much louder the non-resonated ones than the standard exhaust?
basically I just want it to sound as awesome as possible!

If you are after noise then Tubi Rumore is the way to go. If you have any neighbours, forget it. When you floor it people can hear it miles away, often attracting unwanted attention (the police!). I don't really have neighbours but my car was a daily driver but after the complaints from the wife i have to take one of the other cars in the morning. As I don't want it to be just a weekend car I need to make it a bit quieter; Milltek resonated centre section is waiting to go on but I don't think it will make much difference.Rs4martin wrote:Tubi rumore is the way to go mike right?

Never heard one in hte flesh so can;t help I'm afraid. I've heard the non-resonated is a little bit louder than the standard exhaust when the valves are closed.RS4ALEX wrote:ideally id like to keep the valved option, any idea how much louder the non-resonated ones than the standard exhaust?
