did have a bit of a smile with doug(MRC) on the dinner parade lap.

i was the car in front of his -- so just before we pulled off i told him i was going to make the most of these 3 laps cus it was the only chance i would get to keep him behind me on a track.....

Highlight of the day for me was watching the Gumbert Apollo trying to get past Lucas's 650BHP RS4....stunning watching a very expensive supercar being held at bay by an Estate :)

Yeah, he needs to get that RS4-engined beast (the Apollo, not Lucas' car) over to MRC - it was mis-firing like a pig going past the pit lane.

It's a bit o both!! The Apollo is powered by a twin-turbocharged version of Audi's 4.2 40valve quad-cam V8 (running with a dry-sump lubrication system). The S model (at Audi Day) produces 700PS and upwards of 850Nm torque! (Apparently that gives it 0-60 in 3secs, 0-124 in 8.9 amd weighs 1200kg). As Nige says, I don't think it was running quite right

Thanks, it was a good duel! Thanks again to JeffW for his time and for sharing his knowledge..I certainly wouldn't've been anywhere near it without his tuition!! I ran Pirelli PZero Rosso tyres and was really impressed with their grip and feedback. Even more impressed when I saw that they were fitted to the R8s!
