Yes shorter 5th from a Megan, stops car Bogging down in 5th.

Iv not tried mate, car is on axle stands with wheels off, its been jet washed, had a look at the box... I need to get a expert in to help diagnose the fault, it could be something simple as a gear linkage lever or the selector arm as these stick out further down towards the ground. The box needs to be split in order to change parts

Great write ups Sonny - keep them coming, it's very interesting following your racing exploits - basically you are doing what a lot of us guys on here would like to do but haven't...

Cheers Dunc, I am a believer in following your dreams and aspiration, a believer in anything can be achieved ( well almost). The race car driving was something I have always wanted to do when I was a teenager, not coming from a motorsport background I never had the opportunity to exploit that at a young age, so had to pull my finger out and do it myself ( like I have with most things in life)... Getting deep there ahh lol

I plan to enter a 7 meeting series next year with a total of 14 races, the Clio is the perfect car to use, due to cost and handling, and they are loved where ever you go.. The Nippon and Toyota challenge guys are happy to have us on their grids ( actual they are a great to watch) until we get more numbers needed to have our own grid, but that is some time off yet.

2014 race license arrived few weeks ago, Track Attack Race Club (TARC) club membership subscription paid up for this year.

Due to MSA change in rules, TARC can no longer call our race series the French Trophy, so now its called "Tricolore Trophy".

New Tricolore Trophy race dates have now been released. All race meetings consist of 2 x 15 min sprint races and 1 x qualifying session.

05/04/14 Rockingham (International Super Sportscar Circuit)

05/05/14 Castle Combe

08/06/14 Donington Park (Grand Prix Circuit)

12/07/14 Snetterton (300 Circuit)

09/08/14 Silverstone (National Circuit)

20/09/14 Cadwell Park (Full Circuit)

04/10/14 Oulton Park (International Circuit)

Special race event

01/11/14 Snetterton (300 Circuit) 3 x 15 min races (Televised Event, Motors TV)

Im gutted that the Tricolore Trophy will not be held at Brands this year :(

Any one interested in racing in the series is more than welcome to join, its a fairly open regulated series, and any French made car is welcome. The TARC club is famed in the Jap world running the Nipon Challenge, MR2 race, Coupe cup and the new Deutsche Marques. http://www.trackattackraceclub.com/

Thanks guys, would be good to see you guys there, you can cheer on the French Clutter hehe

Ash555, get racing with us...I did look into the 750club as they have started the Clio 182 challenge but regs make it too expensive as its a production class and you have to use all parts from a certain Renault specialist.

Hmmm not bad, if you wanted to do it once, but doing that more than once will be very expensive, work out cheaper to buy one already to MSA spec and you're done.
