I was also looking for Daytona but when I saw an Avus Avant I bought it straight away. Admittedly I was looking for something fairly low-key, but it is a lovely colour - very "superior" looking and suits the car well. It cahnges with the light from light silver, through to a steel grey, looks great clean & hides the dirt fairly well too.

what, sell my mint 2007 Avus Avant with its full Audi history?....

.....sorry, not yet, I'm still enjoying it too much! - ask me in a year, as I may be finding it impossible to resist scratching the Sepang C6 RS6 itch by then!

Good luck in the search though - be patient and I'm sure you'll find what you want. There were over 3000 sold in the UK, and this forum alone is testament to the fact that there are lots of very well loved and maintained cars out there.

It's also worth bearing in mind that late this year / early next I reckon there'll be a fair few going out through the Audi network, after they come in as p-ex's against shiny new B8s.

So after all that i have bought a stunning example NOT in Avus silver but Mugello blue! I did go and see the Avus car I mentioned above but it turned out that it needed brakes and tyres and a few other things, so wasn't such a good deal!

So the car i found is an '07 Avant with black optics, fbsw, buckets, sunroof and has covered 40k miles and has a full audi SH.. I love it.. Doesn't wqnt for anything except maybe a Milltek!!

Thanks for all your advice and I must say it was this site that pushed me from thinking about one to having the confidence to actually go and buy one!

I will post some pics very soon!
