The new S8s headlights are all LED too.
They may be the "way forward".... but not yet !
I've over 25 years of lighting design and commissioning experience, commercial, domestic and theatre.
I can tell you now that the LEDs you buy now will be completely surpassed within 5 years.
The UK government has completely mugged everyone off over the "low energy" bullsh*t. (and the Europe directives)

The current crop are way over-priced, very limited in true colours (temps), crap output (in lumens/not wattage) and unreliable.
Plus you can't generally dim the one's you'd want to... so your house will probably look like a sterile corner-shop.

Good luck though, you makes your choice.....

(don't even get me started on the low energy fluorescent lamps)

Top Tip: If you value good quality light in your home and want to be energy efficient..... bulk-buy as many traditional incandescent and halogen lamps as you can lay your mitts on.
Then invest in some descent dimmers (not the cheapo rubbish you get in B&Q / Wickes etc) !
You'll be laughing all the way to the bank both in running costs and because of how long your inexpensive lamps last.
