I like the 2 presses as more often than not there's only me in the car.

+1, and I don't mind 2 presses on the odd occasion when I have company.

Don't you have stuff to put in the boot ? Would be Ok for me if could program 1 for driver's door + tailgate but just the driver's door I found the 2x really inconvenient

I just either do 2 presses or the long press on the centre button when I have stuff to put in the boot.

The whole point of the single press being drivers door only is security, as soon as it opens any other point of entry it defeats it's purpose.
