Might be changing my tune after a brief outing in my wife's Q5 this afternoon. Almost got it stuck on two hills. This is where traction control cuts in for me just a bit too soon.

SR71, with the Quattro do you have to run the device front and rear, or just front?

well I must say....Wow. I ran the car on Pirelli Sotto Zero II's through 15cm of snow here in Italy, on clear'ish but very cold roads ( -19 degrees ) and then on snow and Ice covered Roads in Switzerland and Austria and the Car was impeccable. Only when entering corners too fast on the icy sections did i feel the slightest twitch.

I muted to my wife the the RS may not be long in my Garage, but after the 1500kms I drove this winter, I want to keep this car for ever. After all that snow fun, I took her out on my country roads here and gave the beast some exercise. What car can handle such diverse scenarios so well, and still pack the the family away in the back!

Hi Jez
We have just acquired the same. Had it remapped before delivery, we are very happy with it.

We took the Q5 and RS6 on our road trip, as we had friends with us. Skis and stuff on the Thule Rack on the Q5, keeping the 6 nice and tidy. Both were excellent winter tourers, the argument will start when we decide what to take on the next trip. We both know what cars we want to take, but only need to take 1!!!

We both know how wonderful the RS6 is, having said that I am very impressed with the Q5 as a shopping trolley, school bus and holiday vehicle.
