That Maserati 3200GT has put a huge grin on my face - considered one instead of the RS6 - glad I went for the RS in the end, but the Maser is still on my list of cars to own one day, along with a Quattroporte.

I commute in a 2009 Bluemotion Passat and have been building my Mk1 Cortina 4x4 Cosworth for just over 20 mths now. I have a 1997 White Mk3 VR6 tucked
up in the drive also but requires tax and mot.

I must say that IMO the Maser Quattroporte is such a stunning 4 door motor.

Here are 2 of my other motors which provide great fun driving.

A 2004 996 manual turbo with factory fitted 450 bhp & a 2007 Renault 230 F1.

Paul, where'd you get the LS1 from? What a set up! Did the motor just sit that far back or did it take real effort? Is it common to put V8s into RX-7s in the UK?
I love the RX-7 but hate wankles, that must be an amazing track car. Is there a build write up or anymore info?
No matter where you go, there you are.

A bit of a strange mix of a 3litre V6 406 coupe which I've had for about 8 years. Image

...and a 1978 MK1 Transit camper that I've restored. Only 29k from new! But the 2 Litre V4 is a strange and mightily underpowered beast... Although unlike the coupe or the 6, I can do most of the servicing and maintenance myself!

Not sure how to re-size photos - sorry!

I got the engine and box here in the UK, think it was from Charles Trent Breakers?

There is about 15 V8 RX7's in the UK. Mine was the 12th Craig Taylor has built.

Build thread can be found here http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/forums/v ... php?t=1481

and Craig Taylor's Website is http://www.dynotorque.co.uk/

His latest project is a V10 M5 engined E46 M3...

The RS6 is my run around commuter - pics of weekend car attached but the white 911 turbo is now sold (with only 10k miles on the clock!). The other black one is a 1994 964 Turbo 3.6 with plenty of mods - less than 1000 ever made...
