Ok, so the motor went to Audi yesterday andvthey told me they WOULD need it for 2 days, so won't be ready toll tonight! The other thing I was slightly annoyed about was the fact they are charging me for replacing the springs with the H&R ones whilst they they've got the suspension dismantled, and I have to sign a disclaimer which isn't a drama, be it only 40 quid but that was after lots of negotiating because at first they said they wouldn't do it, I explained the back had already been done and all the engineer needed to do was walk two steps to the back of my car, open the boot, take out the mew springs, walk another 2 steps and replace those instead of the stock ones! Lol, also in the conversation I was told that the engineer would have to rebuild and then dismantle a second time to fit the new springs, I was amazed how a company will twist and turn just to get out of doing something extra for their customers! Anyway looking forward to getting her back tonight to teat drive :)

It's not surprising because it is non OEM parts and therefore a non warrantied item. Plus they do nt really want to be seen to fit non OEM parts and the associated parts fail because by fitting them they are in part opening themselves up to liability for the work they have carried out.

If something went wrong with an OEM part in the assembly associated with your H&R's and the fault was attributable to the H&R's and their fitting of them, Audi UK / AG would not cover it under warranty and then it is to the franchise to cover the cost of repair.

They even do the same with OEM parts that they have not sourced.
