Thanks for the info guys. Test drove one (Touring/estate) this avo but was left disapointed due to the dealer not allowing me to use P500 mode (so slow). Invalidates the 'test drive' insurance apparently??? That asside, having looked at the car as a whole i dont feel that i could bring myself to splash out on an M5 while waiting for the right C6, just not enough passion there to justify it. Think i'll just hold my horses and enjoy the C5 until the time comes. As for the M6 idea, my father inlaw has one and i get to drive that often enough to tick that box. And to be honest i dont like it as much as the C5. Its very capable but seems to lack something that i cant put my finger on.

And before anyone asks why i want to keep the C5 and get a C6 aswell......... its because i want to! The C6 will be exactly the same colour combo as my C5 too.

IMO Can't see any point at all in having a C5 and a C6 RS6 (or a C5 RS6 and and M5) - both good and capable but of the same type and nature (big, heavy, powerful saloon......). Why not keep the C5 and get something different like a small sports car that handles better and gives more feedback and driving thrill as the RS6 is so composed and clinical. Whether you like a Caterham/Lotus/Noble even a R8 they bring a different dimension to drivin - even thought I think the rs6 is great, my poison is my air cooled 911 turbo that gives a totally different thrill to the rs6 but is set up not to be a daily driver but a joyster.....
