after they have had the car for 5 weeks, and I've had it back a week the turbo hose has split somewhere so it's back on a low loader to Franklin, who say they haven't got a courtesy car so i'm waiting for audi rescue to drop me a nissan off! yay

I hope someone at audi reads this and does something about it.

hope the car is back for it's men and motors shoot on friday

just a thought i's mention this but they have the hoses in stock as "they only rarely fail so we don't hold them in stock" - thought they were a known weak spot.

Franklin have amazed me yet again, hoping to get the car back today but I have been told the fault hasn't been confirmed because they can't road test it in the wet!

I have won - Franklin have bought the car back for a reasonable sum, and audi have given me a "lump" sum in way of saying sorry.

Blimey Jon, sounds like you've had a gut full.
I didn't read this post when I joined the group, hence why I wasn't aware of all the difficulties you've been having.

I hope the golden handshake was worth all the problems, and that your new Noggy baby is a bit better behaved.

So, are you able to spill the beans on what was wrong with the car now, and also what it was they did wrong that you wouldn't mention before ?

Cheers,

they didn't fix it, they couldn't trace the missfire. AMD were confident they could fix it but audi refused to let a non audi dealer fix it (embarresed i suppose). The scary thing is Franklin are putting it through the auction this week in leeds.

The thing is it had just been serviced by Franklin when the missfire started, and now I have found out about another RS4 which was unchipped that has the same fault. so I wouldn't get mine serviced there again!

But it was for the best, as I am now the proud owner of a noggy blue 2001 beast, fully loaded with only 10k on the clock!

bring on the cannonball!

Doing the cannonball in a 10kmiles car ?!?!?

Got a spare seat ?

Such a shame for a car like this to go through the auctions, and also for it to get passed on to a new owner with a known fault

So. How long can you resist before the mods start...

Controversial proposal - but dare you go public with the registration so any potential buyers on this site know to steer clear......

it would make a good project car, when it was running right it made 465 bhp and 460 ft/lb torqe. i'd buy it back for 25k!
