Having been here myself and helping marv obtain 4 brand spanking new tyres courtesy of Audi, I agree that in the event you have an accident and the investigators take your car away to check it over, I am almost certain that your car being fitted with tyres different from the manufacturers specifications would give the insurance company sufficient grounds to not pay out - using the assumption that had the correct tyres been fitted, the accident wouldnt of happended!

If Audi specify that your car requires XL tyres, it must be for a reason. My 2005 states they must be XL. Is it worth the risk?

Hello.

I need to resurrect this topic again since the tyres have lasted well but one of them's nearly at 2mm and the others are just under 3mm.

I currently have 235/40/R18 XL tyres but Goodyear don't do these dimensions in the F1 GS-D3s.

Can anyone tell me which dimensions I need to go for from the following table please? http://eu.goodyear.com/uk_en/tires/repo ... page=sizes
Audi S4 Avant (B6, 2004) in Goodwood Green.

Haven't been on here for a while but I think you'll find that the only option is to use the GY Asymmetrics.

The only size tyre to use is 235/40 R18 and, of course, XL.

I bought two new tyres as above just recently for the front end. They seem to perform well and an enormous improvement on the 91 load factor tyres before
