The vibration is from the brake pedal. The accelerator pedal is mounted on the same alloy casting.

Aha, that explains it! This has been bugging me as well, but unless you were Marcus Gronholm and regularly did the old left foot braking, you wouldn't know it was the brake pedal causing it. It does feel very ABS-esque (abs-esque? :biggrin2: ).

In terms of the feel of the handling in general, this car has got a chassis that AFAIK dates back quite some time and is pretty antiquated compared to modern cars. My old D2 S8 would run rings around my plus and that was a 2002 car - yet it had incredible handling thanks to it's aluminium space-frame chassis. The looks, space and engine on the plus however make up for the shortfalls in the chassis department. It seems you just cannot have everything in one car.

Something I am very tempted to do is to get an S8 final edition, strip out as much weight as possible (say down to 1350-1400kg-ish), get the exhaust done, filters, map etc. to try and squeeze an extra 10-15 hp out of it and then use it as a trackday car (trackdays are something I've yet to try). I think that would be truly awesome. 375hp @ 1350kg = 277hp/tonne which should be quite entertaining and would give me my S8 handling fix back again. :D

Or you could try an M5 - I loved the way those handled for big cars.

I have the vibration feeling in the accelerator - bit unnerving!!!

I see from this and other threads, it is wear of the bush in the brake pedal which causes it.

Grizz: did you ever get new bushes made/make up a kit/tool to fit??? is this a DIY job?

The vibration is something of a "feature" of the cars.... but it is much worse when the DRC is going....
