Indeed, it does make sense that it's not a percentage. I believe the figure I quoted was probably for "25% on a stock B5 S4", ie, if you're not upgrade from the 265, then you're losing around 25%. If you have upgraded, then it's different, probably as jeffw stated - increases with power output, but not as fast.

Could be wrong, but if your car has a 100bhp transmission loss, and the flywheel Hp is 265 standard. If you up the power on the car say to 500bhp your transmission loss should still be the same?

You would expect some more losses due to heat and thermal efficency but not much...The only way to be sure would be on an engine dyno.

This is a goer and I think a lot cheaper than those quoted with approx 1/4 the weight of std shaft weight whilst remaining twice as strong.

Looking for doner parts to make moulds/take sizings from.....?

Jeff - for what parts? Propshaft? Less than £1k, not sure how much just now as still trying to price up stuff and need to design and build one and then have it tested to destruction.
