I'll try the 5k-7k in 3rd tonight and let you know.

I managed the 0-60 time by holding the stopwatch in my right hand whilst still hanging onto the stearing wheel and changing with my left (probably not recommended actually come to think about it!!).

Whats the FATS test Harper?

Only way to be fair and sure you are doing the same things is to use some logging software.

Even then road, tyre, weather conditions will play a large part in the results

My motor seemed to down on power at the weekend...she doesn't seem to want to pull as hard as she should. Temp averaged 5-9c so still quite cool up here in Perthshire so can't be air temp (not that that would make much diff anyway I think). She jerks every now and then when dropping from 4th to 3rd and flooring the pedal.....almost like a misfire. I had used 20 litres of 95 ron through her on Thurs as the petrol station didnt have any Super, but have since put about 20 litres of V-Power through her and she still seems alittle flat.
Any ideas before I book her into the stealers?

Ok sussed it!!! The clutch is slipping!! If you slip the clutch in 4th, 5th or 6th she revs away. Very strange as she only has 24k on the clock. I spoke to the previous owner on Friday and he told me that she had a new gearbox fitted last year, but said the mileage was genuine as far as he know and he had had her for 2 years and only put 7k on her. Going back to one of my first posts on here, I mentioned that my rear boxes didnt have the exhaust valves as the system cat back was not a genuine Audi system (have a Milltek cat back on her). I'm really really suspicious about the authenticity of the mileage now.

Is it normal for the clutch to go after just 24k??? Is there anyway to check the mileage is genuine....does the ECU record it anywhere?

Mine has done 45k and is still on its original clutch. Does it slip in lower gears? Have you put it in 1st gear revved it, not thrashed it, and then dumped the clutch. It should stall or the revs drop. Another test is to apply the hand brake. Put it in 1st gear and try and move off. The revs should drop and/or the car stall.
