If it was a proper UK car with the same spec from a reputable dealer like Nick Johnson it would retail with him for 22,995 based on condition.

So I reckon a private sale would be about 22k maybe 21.5k

The fact that it was first registered in Cyprus or even imported may affect the price, although there are loads of Honda S2ks being sold from Leicester for 6k under list new from Cyprus and they hold their value really well when sold on.

I reckon it's a 19k car TBH.

To put it in perspective I bought a similar spec one from Nick J with 39k on clock for 26,995 in April.

I'm sure all RS4's were built and finished at the same factory, so there all 'imports' in essence.

Unless the car is fundamentally different due to having originated in Cyprus, with a different spec e.g. emissions, power config or similar, then I can't see how it makes a jot of difference.

There are spec issues with Cypriot TTs, some lack computer etc. If spec is identical then I wouldn't be too concerned but it's a lot harder to verify history abroad than that from UK Audi Centres.

AFAIK I think all the right hand drive RS4's are the same spec, that's what I found out when I asked Audi. I also e-mailed the exporter in Cyprus and he confirmed the spec as what I have on the car (unfortunately lost the e-mail during a computer crash) will take some photos and put it up for sale on pistonheads and here, thanks for your help

I have just been offered £14k by a BMW dealer. Totally standard, well specced, FASH, 2 owners, 67k.
It amazes me that when I bought it I could have had a newer, similar mileage M3 for the same money whereas now the RS4 seems to have depreciated past them. There are only a few hundred of us so there are only a few hundred people to blame for the un-justified de-valuing of a unique car. They are good looking, reliable, well-constructed, very fast, practical, rare and have no obvious competitor. Hell they're even reasonably cheap to run. Why are they so cheap?

I have just been offered £14k by a BMW dealer
even at a trade in price they are having a laugh, i was offered more than that for mine (nearly 100k miles) yesterday from someone who hasn't even seen the car. There seems to be a few on auto trader lately from dealers at low prices but who knows what they are like, imo a good one is still going to bring good money but selling it will just take a bit of patience.
Stick it on at 21k ish then
i agree, sounds about right.

I noticed on the parkers website the trade in price was very low when the mileage got above 50K, the sodding website was saying 50K miles was average miles for an '01 car, once you changed the mileage the trade in price went from around £16.5k down to £14.5k, but that BMW garage are having a giraffe !

Im afraid guys if you want use main agents or dealers to trade in you pay dearly for it,any bmw main agent will only get an rs4 underwtitten by the likes of nick johnson and then give you 1k less than that, the car trade is slow at the moment and you need to haggle for a better deal, good rs4 are hard to get hold of but a numpty 21 year old sales rep at a bmw main agent wont have a clue and a blind underwrite by another dealer will always be on the safe side with a car of this nature.M3 values are well behind rs4 ive kept an eye on what i could of bought when i bought the rs and m3 are 3k plus worse off,i looked at trading the rs4 in for a csl 2 years ago and the phone call went oooh rs4 have taken a hit lately, just std patter im afraid,if you do need to trade or finance etc take the car direct to the likes of nick johnson to let him see it and value it.

Take it to see Nick Johnson or give him a ring and see what he can offer you. I can guarantee it will be alot healthier than the BMW offer!

To add a comparison on trade-ins, I was offered £1k less on my S3 at a BMW dealer compared to Audi - the main reason being is that they simply pass the car on to a trade contact.
