Would it be wise to check there is nothing wrong?

Yeah probably.

My dealer has just come back to me in the mean time saying Audi recommend against retro-fitting the SS+. No reason given so I've asked "Why?"

Can a helpful B7 owner with SS+ and a standard exhaust measure the clearance between the ground and the lower edge of their exhaust for me?

(Obviously on level ground and unloaded.)

I believe the ride height is 10mm less than the standard car.

This should help me ascertain whats going on with my car.

Have a look at what JD Eng offer, see current thread about them and the remap.

I went out in JD's car and the suspension was altered by his company and was very good indeed compared to the SS+.
