There's 2 ways of wiring a backup battery:
- one where either the incoming power OR the battery powers the alarm. Good point is that the alarm will always work, bad point is that you don't know when the battery has died.
- and one where the incoming power goes via battery. Bad point is that the alarm won't work when the battery dies, good point is that you know when the battery has died!
