Keep it simple, "SR71 Blackbird" i know but "SR71"

Forgot the prev post and had to google it

Sure the length increase isn't something to do with "stretching"? Can't beleive it's heat.

And why does it leak fuel when on the runway?

Fuel tanks expand as well as the airframe when hot. Therefore when it's cold I suppose there must be small gaps around seams and rivets etc.

Going back to the exhaust briefly - mine expands a fair bit in length, this is quite normal. I went to a local garage in maidenhead who were quite happy to jam the exhaust on firmly - when I initially fitted it, I evidently didn't force it far enough on because when hot, the bent section would straighten up on expansion and vibrate against the dif tunnel. If it's convenient for you, I can let you know the garage that I used.

Thanks TWH for that infomation. Going to Milltek Wednesday and going to let them do what's needed.
Plus they will probably sell me something else, never really liked cats ;)

Let you guys know how the 3 hr drive back home goes :D

Got a few niggles with the car that i want to get sorted first and want to make sure the car's running and driving 100% for
a rally i have this April.

Stage 1 is probably going to be a summer thing. 8)

If you are thinking about a Remap but also thinking about downpipes, Get the downpipes first!
