I need to charge an extra hour for fitting from now on!

ducts stop the inside of the discs wearing as much. need some mods to get them to fit but doesn't take long.

I would use rs4 pads for better bite - softer pad.

I get nervous in cars with stock brakes!

What is in the full kit? There still seems to be some variation on which set-up to use. RS6 calipers, RS6 or RS4 pads or discs????

I had the Pheaton ducts fitted when I had my brakes upgraded. I got the parts from Vagparts for about £55 so it wasn't really worth not doing it. Only a small amount of cutting required to get them to fit. Won't really feel the benefit until I take out on the track though.

Can vouch for the RS6+ setup - had mine fitted by Doug last year and far better than stock B5 slowers (stock B5 brakes can't be called stoppers as you have already found out BigO)

So the RS4 (B7 I assume) pads are better in the RS6+ setup calipers?

I think he means just the RS4 pad being slightly softer.

These are the B7 RS4 pads and discs with the RS6 calipers, just to clarify, larger than the B5. Doug i know you have a bit of a Jock twang but 'compooound'.

G,

Doug did this RS 6/B7 upgrade on mine last week, picked up on Sun and since done 200 miles on them. A lot more feel and confidence without breaking your nose on the windscreen with the slightest of touches on the pedal. I had the Generic upgrade as well and therefore felt a non stock brake set up is a must to go with (In my opinion). I expect they really come into their own on the track. Look the biz as well! Next door neibour though I'd nicked his dustbin lids ! :P I need to look at tyres now I think.... New thread maybe.
