First off the price has come down by £1505 as Audi have scrapped the technology pack. Apparently owing to the fact that the current SATNAV unit doesn't fit in the new A4 and they are doing a deal to get rid of the SATNAV units for effectively £500. So oddly you can still make up the technology pack from its individual components but its cheaper. I'm sure the salesman has this wrong but who cares!
Is this a option now?

Yes - did it yesterday having read this post. It came into effect on Weds...

Changed my order (just placed) from Tech Pack to individual components. Adaptive Light price unchanged, but the Sat nav is now £500 (was £1,975) and the CD changer is £290 (was £320)

All up, you pay £1,115 rather than the £2,295 Tech Pack

Confirmed possible by both Audi Customer Services (Jo) and dealer

:beerchug: Great this place....

I'm still agonising over what to do. Still not got mine back. I was in the workshop yesterday taking one of the bike racks off it for this weekend and she was looking good under the bright workshop lights. I'm definitely going to at least wait until I've got her back for a spirited drive before I decide. I've been running their 2.0L tdi A3 and I'm impressed at the suspension action and lack of roll and how well it handles and I'm thinking that new car tightness is nice.

So I'm also thinking about IF I was to order what colour would I go for this time??

I'm fancying Misano or black I've been offered a Daytona which is ready to drive away now as opposed to waiting 2-3months. Nice colour too, but I've been living with a silver-ish colour now for 3+ years (no offense meant daytona owners) so both the girlfriend and I were swaying away from that shade. Oooo its quite consuming all of this.

Its a sunny day in Aberdeen today and there has been all manner of shinny colours going about.

I'm off to trawl the Audi.co.uk site for photos of used cars. The Audi configurator does not do the cars or colours justice.

A rather confused Golich :?

No offence taken on the colour Golich...

Been living with a silver too for the last 3 years (Avus S4) but to me the Daytona is WAY darker - close to black but without the keeping clean challenges. Parked in central London roads, I need something that hides the grime and the (hopefully occasional) scratch but still looks great when clean & tidy.

Had the same quandry with a Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo years ago - loved the flat Bugatti blue, but had to go for the Green (bit like BRG) for city driving - always knew it was for the best, but never totally happy

Empty Aberdeen roads and a bit of off-road parking, and I'd go for a wild colour!

Totally agree, Scott had the Daytona and it looks the dogs. Would be my choice, however I will never sell my B5.

Thanks for that Ian - RS4 + 45K interesting prize. Something tells me I'd be a long time waiting.

I guess you got to be in it to win it...

Well I've gone and done it..... I ordered a new Misano Red Avant yesterday. :) I was bloody lucky as the order book is closed for Avants. You can still order saloons but not for much longer! Lucky for me the salesman had a few allocations up his sleeve. In fact Specialist cars now Aberdeen Audi have ordered 6 RS4s for themselves with no customer in mind!!!

So now I've got to wait until May/June :(

Plenty of time to sell my B5 anyone interested?

Congratulations!

What options did you go for? I hope you didn't get a discount, otherwise I'll feel like I missed a trick...

Simon - the finance is a partnership between Aberdeen Audi and some company in Glasgow. I don't have their name to hand but I'll find out and get back to you.

Dom81
Spec is:
Black Bucket seats, looking into the silver stiching as I thought this was a free option but stealer tells me this is megga money from exclusive range.
Carbon fibre interior
Tech pack with SAT NAV+ MP3/SD card and IPOD connection
centre arm rest
Glass sunroof - so now I can keep an eye on my mountain bike usually mounted on the roof!
Brushed alloy exterior trim parts.

I think that's it.

Any tips/thoughts?

Sounds good...

I went for Recaros, and the black silk nappa has contrast (silver) piping - this is a free option, but not sure about stiching on the buckets

Personally I don't like the centre armrest - I never have it down, and up it makes reaching into the rear harder when sorting out the children. Upside is storage I guess, but on balance I go without

I looked into the ipod connector, but went for the CD changer instead and plan to fit a Dension Gateway (search craigyb for more info if interested)
