Booked onto the intermediate today as instructed and spoke to Caroline about how we're doing so far. She says she has only 4 bookings for intermediate and none so far for the novice session. Come on guys, its rare to get an opportunity like this of fairly exclusive track use with like minded people instead of taking your chances with the general public, which can be a very mixed bag!! If you've never done a track day before this really is an excellent one to do, with lots of support around on the day. Lets make the most of it :thumb:

Thank you Deane and the other folks who have shown support.

Not all the interest is represented here but what we have is below the level we had hoped (expected even) to see.

You will learn more about your cars handling, braking, power, tyres etc. and your driving skills in one trackday than in a year of road driving. All within the safety net of a track and with people who are known to the forum, many of whom will actively assist you in getting the most out of it.

There are a great many folks on the forum who have enquired about an event like this, please support it, you will not be disappointed.

Nope, its not even just for Audi's. All we ask is that whoever comes is known to the forum or a friend of someone who is. Basically we are trying (within reason) to ensure that everyone plays nicely, as has always been the way with events organised by RS246 and we have had some fantastic ones.

We also want to encourage people to spectate as doing so will still make for a good day out.

I'm going to book 3 places tomorrow, I think that puts us above 20, but we want 60!

I may be interested in coming. What time does it start? I've not done a track day before so looking forward to trying one. I went to Audi Driver International at Castle Combe last year and did the parade lap at fairly high speed, but it is not the same as a full trackday. I will find out from the other half if we are free that day. Graham

Come on guys!! to make this work we need a lot more than twenty people.Donnington has never done this for anyone else, exclusive rights to the track for a whole day.If we dont get enough it will be handed back and that would be a massive let down for all of us.This is the best audi web site bar non so why hasnt this been snapped up? I appreciate that track days arent everybodys cup of tea but to read through a few threads about all your encouters on the roads about how youve out accelerated, out braked out handled more expensive machinery. What is the matter? ,this is far safer than doing it on the road ,lots of run off ,like minded people, also this is an excellent oppurtunity for all those going to the ring to give their car a shakedown and see what a track is all about,(THE RING IS REALLY DANGEROUS).So come all you people with all this horsepower, you know who you are ,stop talking about it and do it .Or are you CHICKEN lol.

I'll try and come along as a spectator.... laugh if you like but its not my car... so it wont be going on the track!

A few RS4's could be coming down from Scotland so save a place or 2 please :bigblink:

if hot rides are going up for grabs then Id be delighted to be scared witless, I was taken around Goodwood in a TVR Cerbra and came back in younger than when I went out on the track it was that fast!!
