standing at front left 1,2,3 back left, back right 4,5,6 I think.

So No6 is on the nearside bank at the front?

Thanks guys for all your suggestions - finally changed all of the coil packs and guess what ? the coild pack on number 4 cylinder had a broken ceramic stem. Car now back to normal with no faults..........

Glad to hear that you've sorted yours. Mine seems to have been a lambda sensor.
