Remapping the ECU should be all that is needed, Hitachi and Bosch outputs are different.

Oh, didn't know about the ECU part. :)
Although after 6(!) switched MAFs it would make me consider that aswell.
Nogaroblue Saloon S4, RS4 clutch, B&M shortshifter, Rieger RS4 front bumper, Dahlback Racing DV's.

is there a setting for voltage against airflow as a ratio that you would need to change?either way sounds messy...

More likely one of the N75 pipes, rather than the part although they do go pop.

MAF swap requires a re-map as MAF values are used to create load values accross the rev range. part and full throttle.

I think its safe to rule out a MAF swap for hitachi for the moment. Are the current internals for the MAF made by siemens, and has anyone tried contacting them for replacement sensor rather then getting mugged by audi everytime one goes pop? Also, what process do audi use for re conning MAFs as they are on an exchange basis? And finally, can anyone think of any other causes apart from those already mentioned that could explain why my MAFs keep failing?
