To be honest mate I can't remember, and with it being the end of the financial year I'm absolutely snowed under with work.

If we get some good content we'll try to figure out how best to make it available, legal clauses etc. If you take a look at my gallery you may see that I was thinking of doing somthing similar myself.

It's all to do with where the pressure is when it diverts and where it needs to go.... Now combine this with the movement of the piston inside the DV. Getting warmer yet?

It has been discussed. As a (ex)mechanic, what's your view?

It may be boring for you as a mod who has heard it all before, but I am sure that I speak for many new members for whom everything is not so obvious. So why be patronising, that sort of attitude will only serve to stop people posting for fear of being ridiculed, then where would the site be.

With the wealth of information that you as moderators hold, why not just answer the question or provide a link to the relevant thread? sureley that is a netter solution than sarcasm!!!!

Fair comment, but as a moderator, I spend an average of three hours a day reading through all the posts, checking them, making sure they are reasonably correct and not offensive...... when you read the same stuff day after day, with a constructive view, you do get a) sceptical, b) totally fed up, c) short fused with posters who seem intent on having a laugh at other people's expense.
I too am a fully qualified Mechanical engineer, served my time and a few more years besides as a designer at Ford in the 80's to mid 90's, working on projects that some may remember, RS Cosworth, RS 200 and a few others I am not so proud of, RS turbo..... but dont find the need to take the p*ss or keep something going just because it seems fun. There are plenty of sites out there whose behaviour reflects this mentality, we have always tried to keep this friendly and informal, heck we even allow text-talk without editing...........

Dont let the simple part mislead you.............
So lets get on with what we do well, leave the p*ss taking to somebody else's forums and go forward eh??????????? :rocker:

Having read other threads I am well aware of your track record in the industry and also aware of the many selfless hours that you and other mods put into this excellent website/Forum.

I cannot see who is taking the P*ss in this thread, I for one have been puzzled by the reverse orientation of the DV and despite numerous searches have been unable to discover the answer.

So why does it work better and why isnt it set up that way from the factory?
