Mine is going to go through the following stages in the next few months:

RS6 hybrids
RS6 hybrids and FMIC and bigger injectors (630cc) and fuel pump
RS6 hybrids, FMIC, fuelling, NA heads, RS4 intake manifold, tubular exhaust manifolds

Hopefully 550 should be feasible with the latest stage. Thinking about water injection too, but other tricks as well

Next step up is going to be massive turbos, and not Garretts, something no one has done before, still working on practical aspects of it but they should work and should be good for 650-700 BHP.

Might go to 3.0 liter if I go crazy and the bottom end has to be taken apart...

This will remain my daily driver for as long as possible as well. Luckily I'm doing the RS6+ brakes before hitting 400 BHP.

Mihnea,

Can you explain what you mean by RS6 hybrids please?

Cheers,
Clive

Yup, K04 hot side, center bearing housing and cold side housing, with an RS6 compressor wheel. The RS6 compressor wheel is much more efficient than the standard RS4 K04 one and flows more air at higher revs....

Is there any disadvantage with these compared to standard K04's ?

@David: other than the price, which is obviously higher, none that I can think of. Low revs spool up is as good as RS4s as far as I'm aware, but then I have never played with a set of these yet.... we'll see how they run on my car...

The RS6 compressor wheel is also designed to be run on the same K04 shaft in the RS6, meaning it is a more natural fit than the K16 and K24 wheels used in other K04 hybrids. This should mean it is a balanced combination, and also not stressing the shaft, means it will probably be reliable option as well.

Yup reliability is key, personally I wouldnt pay that much of a premium over the K04's without assurances of similar durability. A lot of the K04/K16s have failed AFAIK and the K04/RS6s hybrid is very new.... Am also interested in FMIC, but not the DUH FMIC - be nice with something more local.
