In my opinion, Audi were already fighting a losing battle in trying to make the new RS4 look good because I cant help but think the new RS would of looked better as a B6 A4. I dont think the B7 A4 is an improvement over the B6 A4 in terms of looks - whereas when the B6 was released I took to it straight away, it was in my opinion a positive evolution of the B5 A4.

As one who has been sceptical, I was pleasantly surprised. It looks much better in real life. The interior is outstanding. The seats very grippy but if you have a wide beam, you won't fit. Rear leg room is improved because seats are not as deep.

Outside, yes, it is not ground hugging like the B5. The wheel arches are nice, but perhaps not as wide as the B5. I don't like the saloon shape anyway, but i tried to visiualise what the avant would look like, and it will look good.

The two exhausts look really mean.

No brochures though :( Avant will definitely be first quarter 2006 :) :(

Anyway, judge for yourself, if you can from these poor pics :)

Well,I went to Geneva, for a different reason (a British V8 one!) and wandered over for a butcher's at the Audi stand. Unless you look closely at the labels you would be hard pressed to tell the RS from the rest of the range. My personal favourite was the updated s4 avant, an altogether more 'honest' car and for miles less money.
One redeeming factor on the RS however: the steering wheel is magnificent!

I went to see the AngloAmerican V8 which to my mind ought to have a leaping cat on its badge, not the 'wings of God'...!

The wait for you U.K. people is definitly worth it, however, I am over in the U.S. where it will be quite a while before I can get my hands on the RS4 B7, and man, I am crazed about this car. I am hearing that the production in the U.S. will be late this year, possibly early next year. Is this true?
