Audi will not show the final bodywork until official launch at the show. Why would they go to the expense of a show and then let all and sundry see it beforehand. No, it will be kept very quiet.

could be. Could you please attempt to explain what "flared" arches means. Kind of "standing out in a real cool way like the current RS4", or something really different?

Thanks
d.

So many rumours and photos. For what this is worth, I was in my local stealership on Wednesday. Their sales men are telling folks that the new RS4 will be available as saloon first in May I think he said. No photos yet. Hopefully February and they have not decided on an Avant.

I told him I didn't believe him. There is no mention of this on the net. He said their sales manager was invited over to Germany with a bunch of other dealers and they were shown basically an empty shell of a DTM looking animal all wide arches no massive rear spoiler and that it was going to be the NA 430bhp thing banded about.

We'll jsut have to wait n see.

Right, I dug a little more on this and it seems ALL the RS4 shots we've seen in testing so far are with srandard body. The front pictures look like they're the final version (but thats not confirmed) but the sides and rear are completely different. Looks like this one might even be worth the wait visually anyway. Seeing as the E90 M3 will have a 400bhp V8 and SMG3 Audi know that the RS4 MUST look visually stunning, an S4 with more power is not going to cut it.

Well they got it right with the B5 RS so there is no reason why they cannot do it again, although some of the newer Audis dont seem to really look the best imo
