What I experienced this weekend, by DaveP.

My LeMans trip started earlier than most, 6am Friday morning...myself and my 3 week old (for me at least) RS4 began the journey down to Dover. I met up with PhilT, and a couple of stops later my RS4 had become a tad more interesting, and I was happier than a happy thing on happy stuff.

Eventually got to Dover, and met up at the pub with John (who's car seemed allergic to dirt all weekend), Tim (Buddha of Bling) and Gav (First noggy I've seen - looking awesome with those calipers mate!) - Phil got pie eyed on two halfs of shandy, and we got thrown out at closing time (taking our wine with us.)

Hooked up with everyone else in the morning, and the journey began!

My highlights/lowlights...in no particular order :-

Steering shake - damn audi dealers can't balance wheels

Seeing so many RS4's in one car park!

DavidT's S4 - superb handling and brakes, clean driving.

Joshies M3 - sideways action (oo-er)

Tim trying to get into his room after mucho champagne

James' dancing

Eating snails !

Heather managing to out-navigate us all

Pete having to wait for us in his diesel

French wheel balancers (the trip home was sooo much nicer)

Seeing silly speeds on the speedo

Watching people's reactions as 7 RS4's zip drive by :o

Thanks to Joshie for translating, and DavidT+Craig for waiting for me whilst I got the wheels done. Paul for the camera mount, although I'm not sure the footage will be any use (!) - sorry I didn't get chance to take you out bud! Ken for the help with my wheels. CBP, for trusting me with the crown jewels, and finally Phil.... for everything bud.

My first time meeting most of you, thanks all for making me feel like one of the gang and creating some lifetime memories. A great bunch of people, and anyone who's even slightly interested in doing a trip - DO IT, you won't regret it!

Just spoke to Mihnea (s2Tuner) and wish I had come along now. I've split my sides reading what went on.....gutted I missed it!

When is the next European trackday? Has anyone planned anything else?

Hi Guys

Finally made it to the forum - busy washing the car (not!)

What can I say - my first RS4 track day, and the last for the moment - I am now seriously jealous of Tom who is purchasing my car next week (Its all ok really)

Haven't had so much fun on and off the track for ages - all credit to Eric and Audipassion, as well as JR here for the organisation - fantastic!

Sitting here at work this morning, I just want to go back and do it all again.

There seems to be something about travelling to and from this event - Joshie was behind me all the way down the M20 on the way there, and behind me all the way to the M1/M25 Junction - all by coincidence (i think)

I have seen the moustache painting before and the table walking - fantastic and a handfull !!! (don't get her drunk again)

I can't say more than has already been said, but again, a big thanks to all that went, the best for the weekend for Phil and see you all soon (10th hopefully)

Jon P

I read all your comments Guys, and I'm glad you all enjoyed this meeting (despite the off period nobody would have guessed).
I was also on the track (yellow Carrera) so I miss to speak with you!
Next time I'll try to do better.
And thanks a lot for your "very" Gentlemen Drivers attitude.

Another meeting is also scheduled:

During the meeting in Folembray (Festival des Anneaux) on october 2 and 3 celebration of the 10th birthday of Audi RS2 will take place.
Special events are scheduled and we expect at least 50 RS2 (RHD welcome)
More information here:

Or if you don't read french, on my e-mail (atrium@freesurf.fr)
You may answer in english on the AudiPassion forum for that topic.

Tell your collegues in RS2 to attend our meeting :D
As of today 14 RS2 will be attending
But all Audi are welcome 8)
