Don't get diverted by speculation and wishful thinking. There are no plans for an RS3.
This year Audi will release a 'sportier' A3 with a different body.
There are people who are VERY close to Audi, these are the people who are saying
NO RS3
NO turbo RS4
LMQ will NOT compete with Gallardo

There will be watered down versions of the Nuvolari and Pikes Peak, but not anytime soon.

Audi is budgeting less for capital expenditure this year than last year; this means fewer new models.

The one bright spot on the horizon is that the A2 is only scheduled for a facelift and then it will be binned, freeing up an ASF production line at Neckarsulm.

quattro GmbH is flat out building Gallardos, not much time for work on a range of new cars.

RS3? What a waste of time - boy racer heaven. What next? A RS A2 !

The whole Audi world is falling apart.

I'd also like to know what you mean by this?

Why because its not a barge its not worthy of a RS badge? If the RS3 comes with a V6 TT, watch it kick the living out of your RS4

If Audi made an RS3 'properly' it could be a cracking performance car (doubt they will but...)

Maybe compete more with the M3 then? I dont see that as a boy racer car...

IMO one thing that is defenitely not true is this 1200kg figure. 1200kg is a lot lighter than the M3 CSL which is 200kg lighter than the standard car and of course it cost a 20K premium over the standard car (1500kg?). Audi cars are geared for luxuries such as sat nav and full leather, not to mention 4WD - there is no way Audi will produce a lightweight stripped out car - its not their market.

I like very much turbos!
If the new RS4 will not have turbos, I will not buy because I find the turbos very amused!
Friends see in link where the turbos go to stop in the end of the util life!

You need a good looking bitch on the car and there is no better example of it than my Oopsey, the Rottweiler. Big teeth like hers!

Small RS model = something for the Mrs

I'm seriously beginning to doubt her ability (let alone mine) with 420BHP

RS4 ownership must be going to your head Ben LOL! He owns the hot hatch in our household - and I get the RS2

Though he is rather taken with the charms of the RS2 - so I don't think an RS3 is something he'd necessarily consider if he was looking to buy another car.

We are now beginning to argue over who drives - seriously She was never really bothered before, allowing me to drive 99% of the time. I can see this turning into her car when things like kiddies happen and me getting a hatch. What's all that about? You've set the precident Cobstar!
