If load rating is important to you go up to 265/35 18 SO2 with a 93 Y rating. It is close enough for me.

F1 Eagles at £170, I was quoted £235 by Hi Q, can you get them at this price, I would be very interested.

Toyo only offer 90Y rating for the standard 255 35 18 rims

Actually I think the Toyos now come in 93Y, I'll check later when I get my car back.

Chubby - I'm on standard brakes, got a bit soft after about 4-5 laps, but used to it now. Roll on the AP kit.

Has anyone tried the Avon ZZ3?

£150 fitted and balanced.

Anyone care to comment on a good wet weather tyre?
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.

Pilot Sport 2s.....miles better than the OEM Pirelli P-Zeros. Virtually no tram-lining, very quiet and excellent grip in both wet and dry...what more could you ask from a tyre £170 each, fitted & balanced.

Autocar's Performance tyre test 2003 overall results

1st Pirelli P-Zero Rosso
2nd Goodyear F1
3rd Michelin Pilot Sport 2
4th Continental Sport Contact2
5th Toyo Proxes T1S

above tested on BMW Z4 & 328i.

I suppose the results don't really mean much here; but will go with the RS4 flow when I have to replace my P-Zeros.

I assume its sensible to swap fronts & backs to get even wear and then bite the bullet and replace all four rather than putting different makes (in pairs) when the front or backs are getting worn.
No sig, no RS4 anymore

Thinking about trying the Uniroyal rain sport for over the wet winter months. Anyone tried them?

Just to say, although still running them in really impressed with the Yoko AVS AML, quieter than the Toyo

Haven't put them under any real strain yet

Keep you up to date
Can't beat a bit of boost!

Anyone used the on-line tyre sellers, such as blackcirles.com or mytyres.net ? Blackcircles are doing the S03 for £193 and Toyo T1S for £174 fitted and balanced (225/35 ZR18 both). They have two fitment centres near me in Battersea and Wandsworth. Anyone had any experiences good or bad?

Steve

PS Blackcircles also sell " Toyo T1S R/F" for £162 - what does R/F mean? Refurbed??
You never really learn to swear until you learn to drive.

RS4 - as standard as the day it was born

Steve - if you are using Black Circles, then try the tyre finder on tyresmoke.net which gives you 10% off Black Circles prices

You can get a discount at BrackCircles on www.tyresmoke.net

I would imagine that BlackCircles offer a good service if it is on Tyresmoke. Try asking over there.
