talk about getting worried over nothing... turns out my stock suspension is pretty even all round'... though it's a tad lower than RizS3... mine measured at 635mm all round with 1/4 fuel.

We'll there goes my excuse to upgrade the handling..

www.TCCA.com.au - MTM tuning (MTM dealer for Oz in NSW) offered me a couple of used H&R springs for cheap.. was considering it but s8n warned me about the guy running the shop.. aparently a bit dodgy...

intersting results, but not sure how accurate. I just measured mine in the garage from the floor through the center of the wheel to the arch, like you guys and its approx 635mm at front, approx 630mm at rears - saimilar to yours Blue??? I had just over half a tank of fuel also. Yoursis 5cm lower than Rizs, so are you sure yours is standard suspension? 5cm is more than a 'tad' lower dont you think?

Riz, do you have a Audi Allroad? 5 CM higher than mine?

confusing

I have 18" wheels (RS TT) on mine, same as Riz and Chris, what do you have blue?

i still have the standard alloys on mine... but I plan to install H&R track spacers soon.

been in touch with s8n (boy he's got a ripper of an S3) i want to check out his suspension setup coz i think he's got the standard rims as well... another guy has coil overs but i heard they can get pretty harsh..

forgot to answer your question Dunc.. well i'm pretty sure my suspension is stock. (though i have never driven another S3)

Tell you what... i'll have another break and go down the carpark to measure the gap between the tyre and the wheel arch.. anyone with stock setups please verify.

measured from the edge of the rim to the arch (to compensate for different tyre sizes) front gap was 4.5 inches and the rear gap was approx 4.2inches...

Hey Boys, hey Blues3

Blue, where in Sydney are you? We could meet up and we can check out each others cars!

Ill measure mine tonight, but in reality it should be the same as Blues. I've noticed that Australian delivered S3's look ALOT lower than the pics of seen of stock UK delivered S3s

Blue, if you want to get H&R spacers, Id be intresting in this too. I just want my wheels to fill out the guards a bit more and look a little fatter from the rear.

yeah dude... for sure.. check our local site, just replied to your post not long ago..

TCCA is in Artarmon... just a stones throw away from my place. They have the H&R spacers i'm planning on using.

Great..! lets go down there together then, maybe they'll let us try out the VW's with the coil overs. heh
