fantastic day some serious kit.

2 Ferrari 360's a spider and a coupe
a brace of nobles
Ultima.... oh the noise!
Lambo Diablo ... oh heaven...
2 masseratis
a whole load of porsches, through the ranges. Some seriously quick ones. toddle off, then BAM, all power in one hit, and they are gone.
350 bhp ibiza
a Tvr 350c which did a perfect 360 spin and carried on in a straight line in direction he was heading.
M3's
318ti yes thats right
330D
RS6

and lots lots more .

and the usual RS246 crew

moment of the day for me...

doing a speedo indicated 181 mph past the speedtrap as a passenger in a 996 Turbo x50

foook me that thing goes. Phenominal. Even had a "moment" towards the end as we come back! and caught it. The chap can drive!

I am still grinning. It was awsome.

im knackered and off to bed.

Im sure the speeds etc will follow. I havent got them...

Well it was fabulous. Petrolheads fantasy play ground.

Some big surprises and disappointments.

My first surprise was giving it bloody EVERYTHING and going through the timing gear at 140mph. I dunno. Must be what it feels like to head off to your favourite night club, and find out its been turned into a church!!

Pulled like my Range Rover on a bad day.

Nitrous on the way! Only kidding

Someone somehow somewhere had been piddling with my dongle and she was set to the lowest possible timing and boost settings Sorted that out pronto, but not before I had prepared a long list of excuses for crap performance!

Went back out and had some fun!

The day belonged to those 996 X-50's though. Oooh, and a 993 Turbo that had no wipers

Nice to see you all again,

178 for me in the other Porky 996, all we needed was a set of wings and we would have been on our way south for the winter, the launch from the starting point was awesome, brakes aswell (thank you Martin). Also managed to get a go in the Ultima, I started chuckling to myself as he put his foot down and the monster found it's traction - fantastic pull in the guts from that massive n/a (7.0 ltr?). It ran out of puff though at about 145 as the rev limiter hampered it in top gear. Getting there was good fun though, the noise, the heat, the sensation - God I want to be a racing driver!
I got to do a couple of runs in my car as we had to exit the starting point view area via the airstrip itself. First run at dinner break consisted of me, the missus and her full w/e wardrobe (I dont need to tell you guys how much that is), Andiroo's missus in the back fighting for space with an extremely large cooler box (special thanks to Lindsey for the top grub ) 36 rolls of industrial stretch wrap, 2 full boxes of plain white A4, Full tank of Opti and my w/e bag, I saw over 150mph and I backed off well before the speed trap. Had a good squirt with Tim and Paul from a rolling start 3 abreast at the end of the day when we were leaving, left paul at about 125, next thing 162 on the clock, 7250 rpm and thought Mmmmmm....I best change into 6th. What happen? Absolutely nothing! 6th gear 'over drive'? Must have been that there limiter kicking in. Totally impressed with the old loadlugger today, she did her job.

Lambo had it on the looks and exhaust note for me.

Vinny.

Very enjoyable day out, thanks to Craig and the Pistonheads guys for sorting it

Another demolishing by the Porsches, but hey they are pretty cool. We can almost keep in touch up to 100mph, but past that

Noggy Babe had a few problems in trying to beat her previous 182mph, turns out fuel/timing/load in 5th and 6th was not correct, which is a shame really coz we were hoping to get to G-Force on Friday to get this properly sorted but they had to cancel. Roll on next time

Good to see RS246 there in force You know, I think we must be the MOST well attended forum at trackdays, which says a lot - nice one guys

Btw a nice video will follow towards the end of the week......

Is there a results list anywhere? I want to see how we compare with the supercars!

all was going well with my day until me box broke......Car is on way to listers awaiting repairs. They've rebuilt a few boxs so I'm confident they can do the job right first time.

jon - 156 & 161 before the change of death.
