Re: AUDI RS2 Vs NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
out of interest how much do they GTR's go for out there?
Bullshit baffles brains
Re: AUDI RS2 Vs NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
The RS2 isn't the only car quicker than a Maclaren F1 0-30mph ... take a look at this web-site.

F1 is 1.8, it says the RS4 is 1.7, cool
And the RS2 is 1.5, even better
Very interesting
The BMW M3 is totally pants
Can't beat a bit of boost!
Re: AUDI RS2 Vs NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
I think that most 4wd cars will always have more grip and traction off the line.... yeehaa for quattro! The BMW M3 is totally pants

Re: AUDI RS2 Vs NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
I know of two for sale at the moment. A bit old for me. I still respect them, but I would prefer something a little newer. I test drove a RS4 today. immmm. Very tempting. I personally think they are about to drop in $$ though, so I'm just gonna maybe hold off for 2 months or so. There seems to be quite a few of the owners upgrading to Rs6's, and i bet a few more to the new S4 in manual format.

Hi Kiwi MTM,
The Black car at Contis sold for $72K after 10 days on the yard. It was not advertised. This was an ex enthusiasts car. The other balck car at the Toyshop may have a chequered history...you hear various stories out there!
The RS4's will drop - but maybe not till the end of the year. Dont expect to see prices fall far below $120K NZD though unless mileage over 50,000km! The dealers are keeping these pumped up and there will be virtually NO ex Singa/Japan/HK cars to drive the pricing down as these cars did not sell in those countries (maybe 1 or 2).
For the price of a 50,000km RS4 in December 2003 you could buy a 70,000km RS2 in mint condition AND a Porsche 968CS if you wanted to do a few track days and have change! A few more dollars would put and early 993 C2 manual in your garage along with the RS2. This is the path I went down. Its a really good compromise. If you want an RS2 let me know...gotta make way for some new toys..

Yeah I heard that yesterday from Conti's. My problem is that I only have two off street parks and no garage. 1x for me, and 1x for the misses. Nowhere to park a weekend car.
I had a chance to get a 50km car for $115 privately, but procrastinated.
The RS2 is a great car, but a little old for a daily drive, and the misses don’t like it! (Screwed if the misses don’t like it). I do 35K a year, and want reliable motoring, ESP, six air bags and all! So its either hurry up and dig out a garage under the house, or get an RS4 or M3. I would prefer the RS4, as the BMer's are a little too pretentious for me. Whereas the RS4 is just understated grunt. I'm in no immediate hurry, just as long as i do it this year.
What colour is your car ? (out of interest).

Re: AUDI RS2 Vs NISSAN SKYLINE GTR
RS2s too old for a daily drive? No way! Drive mine too and fro work every day and to and fro the horse twice a day, + longer trips as and when. And looking at the mileage breakdown over previous years she's always been driven regularly.
Great for a daily drive - keep under 3,000 rpm and the car's very tractable round town but the power's there if you need it. Bliss as a motorway cruiser. Not so good in stop, start jams, 'cos clutch is heavy in 1st gear.
Not driven an RS4. Dream of owning one in the future. But couldn't afford to buy one now. RS2 is providing us with an affordable way into the Audi RS experience. Him indoors is quite happy to swap driving his car for mine on occasion.

Red. Ex Ray Barker. 70Km. ORB 1 plates. Used as daily driver. Fully sorted (lots of money recently spent) and good for another 30K without any major outlay. ASdd to that - its basically depreciation proof and no one will steal or coin it as they have no idea what it is (only 12 in NZ vs 23 x RS4).
I think the RS4 is great - but Im not of the means to take a $40K loss over 3-4 years of ownership on one car (I spread that over 2-3 if I can!).
Anyway Contis will probably have mine up for sale in July for $79K. They got $72 for Davids and his wasnt as tidy. So Im hoping for the same from them or less private.

I would say you won, because you don't want to present you as a looser!
